During this stage of my education I had wanted to build out a interesting scene and interactable game that could both be enjoyed and used to relax and enjoy the cool times.
I was tasked with building out an entire scene with all custom models, for different woods, crates, barrels, and other assets around a dock.
I added the materials in substance painter and learned how the OEM Texturing Packing Process works for optimal use of texture maps.
I wanted to build this scene to feel alive, I included areas where the player could interact with the object to spawn in either an item, refil a drink, cause an effect, play music, or spawn in a object further away.
I did my best to put the assets together to both build a colorful scene but also one that used many different assets using different materials and how they could work together in unison. I wanted to develop different types of materials and turn them into smart materials to slowly build out a texture database of different assets and materials.
I greatly Understood both Unity and Substance painter to a much better degree. I learned how to do texture packing in unity as well as to build out my own custom materials and turn them into smart materials.
I became more aware of and how the Substance Painter to Unity pipeline work and how to import assets, textures, and other objects into unity.
I better understood the process of making a game interactible and how to code in C#. I also learned the different animation types and technicques in unity.
